1997's Rules

The following rules were written in March 1997, when we (some people on a Zetnet [my ISP] newsgroup) decided we wanted to do a Fantasy F1 competition. You can enter using the form at the bottom of the page. Click here (or on the picture above) to get up to date with current teams, and results.

Zetnet Fantasy Formula One Rules

1. Teams are free to enter (yay!!), and people can enter as many teams as they want.

2. Each team has a budget of 30 million zets to buy the following:-

And each team has to choose its tyre brand.

3. Points are awarded to drivers, chassis’, engines, and tyres in the following way:-

TYRES (The race)

(WARNING!! These have changed!!)

Negatives

(Driver, Chassis, Engines) -10 pts for not finishing

(Driver, Chassis, Engines) -10 pts for not starting, as not within 107% of pole

(Driver) -5 pts pit lane speeding

(Driver) -20 pts Black flag

4. Price (Remember you have 30 mZets to buy 2 drivers, a chassis, and an engine)

TYRES Bridgestone or Goodyear. Free choice!!

5. All races after and including Hockenheim (we weren't very organised at the start!!) count towards the points.

6. Results and tables etc. will be on the results page
